Telkom Agent and contract scam or not?

So after being quite unsuccessful on gettig last months telkom deal of the month contract ( the 5gb with the portable lte router for R99) due to apparent lack of stock everywhere i went [emoji52] , i stumbled across quite a few posts on facebook from 'telkom agents' offering that contract as well as other the other lte contracts that telkom usually offers at the same prices too.

Upon contacting one if the 'agents' regarding the same R99 contract, i was asked to provide an email address to which forms and the rest of the details could be sent to me. I have received the emails (FROM A GMAIL EMAIL ADDRESS)[emoji51] , however the content of the email is pretty funny as there are many of these symbols (>>>>>>) all over and inbetween lines. The forms that were sent to me were however the exact telkom forms that telkom uses for their contracts. I was asked to sign all of these forms and to provide the usual supporting documentation ( ID, proof of residence, 3 months bank statement).

Now my question is, is this legit? Is this actually true and legit considering that contract has ended? Or is this just a scam to get all my details and documents?[emoji52]

Any telkom agent or anyone with experience regarding this?
