Good morning
On Friday, 10 November 17 I started an online cell phone application, but did not proceed right to the end as I had a question before I carried on with the ONLINE application. So after completing the BANK DETAILS page, I clicked Call Me.
Nobody called me, so I decided to rather phone your Sales department, and applied that way.
I did inform the Sales consultant ON THE PHONE that I had started an online application but didnt complete it and what would happen to that.
She informed me something along the lines of We dont allow a customer to have 2 applications simultaneously, so the online one will fall away - I dont remember the exact wording, but thats the gist of it. So I completed the TELEPHONIC ORDER.
Yesterday 13 November 17 a lady named, what sounded like MATHOKO, contacted me at 9.24am to discuss my ONLINE APPLICATION. I told her, "no its fine I SPOKE TO SOMEONE ELSE AND WE SORTED OUT THE ONLINE THING" AS I was under the proviso that the online application would fall away as the TELEPHONIC SALES lady had informed me. ( I have this call recorded on my cell phone, so I have my own recording!)
Then yesterday afternoon I received an SMS stating Dear customer, please note that your online application for a Telkom Mobile service was pre-approved. An initial amount of R219.00 will be debited form your account within the next 3 working days, please ensure there is sufficient funds in your relevant bank account
FIRST OF ALL I DID NOT COMPLETE MY ONLINE APPLICATION. I DID NOT AGREE TO ANY TERMS AND CONDITIONS. I STOPPED AT THE BANKING DETAILS SCREEN, I DID NOT CLICK ON NEXT OR WHATEVER THE BUTTON IS, I CLICKED ON CALL ME and was then AUTOMATICALLY taken out of the ONLINE APPLICATION SCREEN SO I COULDNT PROCEED ANYWAY!!!
SO HOW IS MY ONLINE APPLICATION PRE-APPROVED, AND WHY AM I GOING TO GET CHARGED???? THATS ILLEGAL!!
SECONDLY I COMPLETED A TELEPHONIC APPLICATION.
Kindly ensure that this gets sorted out, there is no money in my bank account, because you CANNOT LAWFULLY DEDUCT THE MONEY FROM MY ACCOUNT I DIDNT AGREE TO/FINALISE ANY ONLINE APPLICATION!!!!
