Even though I have both a Huawei Y210-0200 and a Samsung GT-S5280 which were bought in the last two months I was told by a Telkom agent today that these were not compatible to use the free Wifi offering.
If I understood him right, this due to the fact that these do not have the right authentication method "EAP-SIM" in order to connect to the network.
Before they changed the AP names with the 1 prefix to it, everything worked fine.
Maybe they could've told me this beforehand. Whats the use of implimenting an authentication method that only the upper class of handsets (The agent did tell me the S5 has this method) are capable of?? Why not use a method more common?
I find this very shortsighted on Telkom Mobile's part to say the least.
